I started karate on a whim.
I started karate to be with my son.
I started karate for no particular reason and with no particular goal.
But yesterday I realized that I was in for the long haul.
I will be a black belt, perhaps more.
And these are a few of my favorite benefits from my karate study.
(I think the are applicable in my professional life as well)
These are "merit badges" my son and I collect as we continue our karate study. These serve as focus points to consider. Karate is more than an exercise or an art form or some self defense technique.
Karate is a philosophy of life with very practical applications.
I seek to apply them every day.
