Learning Styles

Extraversion (E) versus Introversion (I)
Extraverts find energy in things and people.
Introverted students want to develop frameworks that integrate or connect the subject matter.
Sensing (S) versus Intuition (N)
Sensing people are detail oriented, want facts, and trust them.
Intuitive people seek out patterns and relationships among the facts they have gathered.
Thinking (T) versus Feeling (F)
Thinking students value fairness. Mr. Spock, science officer of the starship Enterprise, had an extreme preference for thinking.
Feeling students value harmony. Dr. McCoy, Spock's colleague aboard the Enterprise, demonstrated a preference for feeling.
Judging (J) versus Perceptive (P)
Judging people are decisive, planners and self-regimented. They focus on completing the task, only want to know the essentials.
Perceptive students often postpone doing an assignment until the very last minute. They seek information to the very last minute.

I am an INTJ : though I suppose some of this would depend on context and could change with task and environment.

What are you?

The introvert looks at his shoes. I've noticed of late that others have shoes too. Oh, and, i'm on TV monthly.

As an engineer and computer programmer, "detail oriented" doesn't cover it. Obsessive compulisive is nearly enough. But i think in terms of how things fit into the framework, which in my hobby of astronomy, is all-encompasing, except for dental hygiene.

I analyze first, but understand that if the answer doesn't feel right, it isn't. Even Spock says that logic is only the begining of wisdom.

Since i don't worry, i'm forced to plan. Yet, i haven't sent in my application to the Procrastination Society of America as there is no deadline.

I've taken the Myers-Briggs test, but have spent a couple decades working to forget the results. I'm happier for it.

I've got two brains, and use them both. That's what the Corpus callosum is for. I used to suffer from multiple personality disorder, but we're OK now.

INTJ is a label. We're all individuals - except me.
